Invisalign

Invisalign is a new simplified approach to teeth straightening with clear aligner technology, that
makes straightening your teeth virtually invisible.

Invisalign

Each set of aligners is custom made to fit patient’s teeth, engineered for comfort and ease. Because the aligners are nearly invisible when worn, patients can undergo treatment with little worry that people notice the aligners.

Unlike fixed braces, Invisalign aligners can be removed at any time, so patients are able to maintain good oral hygiene and eat what they like throughout the treatment.

Invisalign GO is available as single arch or dual arch treatment.

Your Initial consultation will involve:

  • Confirmation of eligibility for treatment
  • Intra-oral and Extra-oral photos
  • X-rays
  • Upper and lower dental impressions
  • Discussion of alternative restorative treatment options

After being custom made and shipped to Windle House Dental, a series of aligners will be received by the patient to wear every day and change at home. On average, every 1-2 weeks. The patient will visit the practice every 6-8 weeks to monitor progress and receive new aligners. After finishing the treatment plan, retainers will be required to maintain the patient’s new smile.

See your new smile in 3D before committing to treatment

After deciding if Invisalign is your preferred choice for straightening your teeth, for a small fee, your dentist can then perform a “Clin-check” where moulds and pictures of your teeth can be sent to Invisalign. On your return appointment you will be able to see a live 3D animationof what the final outcome of your teeth will realistically look like. This is an innovative way to see a ‘before and after’ to help you with your decision making process as to whether you want to proceed or not.

Wearing a retainer after treatment

As long as you want your teeth to remain stable in their position it is advisable to wear retainers. Not wearing a retainer means there is a risk of relapse of the teeth. Wearing Vivera retainers after traditional braces or Invisalign treatment means the patient keeps their teeth in their new position, protecting their smile and investment. Vivera’s proprietary material is 30% stronger than other leading clear retainer materials which reduces the risk of the retainer breaking.
